Vieni Fortuna is the fantasy of a night, a fold in time, the disarray of an encounter, a recording studio and living room, extemporaneous fragment in which to tune into new rhythms, distort sounds, bend tongues and collide bodies. The sessions are an invitation to co-creation and the establishment of a community extemporaneous: books, instruments and microphones are made available to those in attendance, gathered around a large central platform where they can freely enter and exit in accordance with one’s own rhythm.

Music generated by the collective supports the voices of those reading. By mixing improvisational radical and defined structures, the project creates a unique flow of audio and text that reflects the contagion of the sensibilities present. The VF community is open to passantɜ, artistɜ, researcherɜ, scrittorɜ, musicistɜ, compositricɜ and poetɜ and to anyone who wants to share practices and materials in sonic journeys in which improvisation is fundamental.

Can sound be built on the ruins of a temple? One can.

Vieni Fortuna (VF) is a multidisciplinary collective born in Rome in 2023, formed by Grosso Bernardo, Ginevra Ludovici, Alex Often and Chiara Pagano. VF explores the relationship between audio and text during meetings dedicated to experimentation. The first sessions took place in the informal setting of an apartment in the Sallustiano in Rome, built on the ruins of the temple of the goddess Fortuna (203 BC). Later, VF was hosted in Roman artists-run spaces, such as Studio Kamillo (May 2024) and Porto Simpatica (July 2024). A new session of come fortuna will soon be hosted by the Pistoletto Foundation in Biella.
