Casilina, 10.30 pm – 11.30 pm
Casilina is Simona Beat’s musical project presenting her second album together with Les Biologistes Marins (Beatrice Miniaci and Anton Sconosciuto).
MOVIMENTI is realised on tracks obtained from the live experiences performed on the first album during three live performances between Rome and Turin in liberated musical locations and territories. The tracks were generated by recording and editing the sounds and stories of the spaces directly live. This experiment creates resonances and suggestions in which the realised sound expression mixes and continues the thread by drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese medicine and its movements and elements. Immersion in sound allows the artist to find himself in possible synchronicities acted out as in any other cycle of life.
Mai Mai Mai, 11.30 pm – 00.30 am
Mai Mai Mai is an audio/video project by Toni Cutrone, weaving together the sounds and imagery of a dark journey through the traditions and folklore of Southern Italy and the Mediterranean . It delves into the sonic exploration of the interplay between pagan rituals and Catholicism, nature and magic in rural life, utilizing archival sounds and field recordings alongside collaborations with contemporary “avant/ethnic” musicians such as Vera di Lecce, Lino Capra Vaccina, Maria Violenza, Youmna Saba, Mike Cooper, Nziria, Go Dugong and others. It embodies a Mediterranean Hauntology that, far from being merely nostalgic, loudly awakens those Spectres it speaks of and summons them to accompany us in our daily lives.
Steve Pepe, 12.30 am – 1.30 am
Steve Pepe is one of the many artistic aliases of Manuel Cascone, a musician and producer who lives and works in Rome.
