EMILIANO MAGGI
Simone Carella, Io poeto tu
#Polyphony
On 5 May, the chorus of voices that makes up the exhibition dedicated to Simone Carella will broaden its scope with the entry of a work by Emiliano Maggi. With the intention of paying homage to the poet Victor Cavallo, a ceramic animal head diffuses his voice.
The work, dedicated to Carella’s rebellious and straying friend, transforms a sculpture into an amplifier for Cavallo’s words, which, repeated endlessly, allude to the Roman stornello, a traditional folk song.
