In this interview for the MEET THE ARTIST series, Michela De Mattei talks about her work for RETROFUTURE, the collection of works by young Italian artists.
Ahahaha… alludes to Gino De Dominicis’s continuous laughter and makes an interspecies leap by presenting an animal and subterranean perspective, through a sound work that reproduces the vocalizations–commonly referred to as ‘rat laughter’–emitted by non-human animals during their play activities.

I invited Nicola Pecoraro, artist and creator of my avatar, to curate this special episode.
