The Polish artist Joanna Piotrowska is interested in the mechanisms that structure social relationships, often looking at the theories and techniques of German psychotherapy and of games. For example, in this work from 2019, the artist shows us how games are nothing more than the reflection of codified behavioural schemes, determining whether children develop or not certain attitudes. She denounces the accepted behavioural norms of composure imposed by society by using a traditional game, Little Sunshine, where the goal is to make the opponent laugh.
