Young octopuses at MACRO
Summer centre at MACRO for children, coordinated by “Senza titolo”
#Kids and families
Young octopuses at MACRO is a totally absorbing experience for kids, who can spend a week at the museum in contact with art, experimenting with contemporary languages and taking an active part in experiences of creative imagination.
From Monday to Friday, 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM, the participating children, accompanied by specialized museum educators, will explore the various sections of the museum – from RETROFUTURE to CHAMBER MUSIC, SOLO/MULTI to BIBLIOGRAPHIC OFFICE – interacting with the works, honing their gifts of observation, and experimenting with art techniques in workshops, lively interpretations and interactive tours through the spaces of the museum, including the classroom of the Department for Preventive Education.
Monday 28 August is dedicated to learning about the architectural space of the MACRO and sensory exploration of the museum through encounters with the works on display.
Tuesday 29 August is about discovering and experiencing performance as an artistic practice and then getting involved with one’s body, emotions and expressiveness.
Wednesday 30 August is dedicated to the art installations in the museum, works to be experienced firsthand.
Thursday 31 August, the protagonist is music to venture on a sound journey made of sounds, voices, rhythms, listening but also words, colors and images.
On Friday, 1st September, the workshop concludes with creative imagination exercises to elaborate a personal museum inspired by the MIP – Museum for Preventive Imagination, designed as a three-dimensional magazine with multidisciplinary headings.
The activity, aimed at girls and boys ages 6 to 12, is free with reservations required at edumacro@senzatitolo.net
A snack will be provided during the morning, paid for by participants.
